Description
CybeRay Rotating Gamma System has been designed to deliver radiation treatments in accordance with a prescribed plan. This system is a stereotactic radiotherapy equipment developed by applying the principle and mature technology of Cobalt-60 rotary focusing. It is suitable for brain and head lesions and tumors requiring radiotherapy, and provides image guided stereotactic radiosurgery and precision radiotherapy. CybeRay consists of a gantry with a slip ring, a focusing gamma ray treatment head, image guidance subsystem, couch, power supply and electrical cabinet, main cover and treatment bore etc. CybeRay combines gamma beam stereotactic radiation therapy technology with contemporary advanced image guidance technology (IGRT) to provide image guided stereotactic radiotherapy and precision radiotherapy.

Name: Teletherapy radionuclide system, conventional
Definition:
A stationary assembly of computer-based devices designed to deliver a therapeutic radiation dose to an anatomical region from a single external radiation beam produced by a radionuclide source, typically to treat malignant tumours; it does not provide image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) functionality during treatment delivery. A typical system is: 1) the treatment head (a shielded source vault containing a single radioactive source); 2) a rotating or fixed gantry with the treatment head; 3) a collimator mechanism attached to the gantry to align the treatment beam; 4) a moveable patient table; and 5) an operator's console with controls. It is commonly known as a cobalt therapy machine.
